Susan Cummins has been involved in numerous ways in the visual arts world over the last 35 years, from working in a pottery studio, doing street fairs, running a retail shop called the Firework in Mill Valley and developing the Susan Cummins Gallery into a nationally recognized venue for regional art and contemporary art jewelry. Now she spends most of her time working with a private family foundation called Rotasa and as a board member of AJF and California College of the Arts.
For all of you who like to plan early, the next AJF trip will be to Amsterdam and nearby jewelry locations from October 10 - 14, 2013. We will visit all the jewelry galleries, museums, and studios we can in four days, including Galerie Ra, Galerie Rob Koudijs, Galerie Marzee, Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum, MMKA (Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem), SMS in Den Bosch (Stedelijk Museum 's Hertogenbosch), CODA Appeldorn, Ruudt Peters, Gijs Bakker, Ted Noten, The Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and more. It will be the highlight of the year.
Mark your calendar, and if you think you'd like to come, email us with 'Amsterdam' in the subject line. We will be sure to let you know about the trip in plenty of time.
