Silvia Valenti

Silvia Valenti is an art writer and a contemporary jewelry maker currently living in Padua, Italy. She trained as an art historian and critic at the University of Edinburgh, in the UK, and Udine University, in Italy, where she graduated in preservation of cultural heritage. She also specialized in organization and human resource management and worked as an HR manager for many years. She got her goldsmithing degree at the Pietro Selvatico Art School of Padua under the guidance of Master Alberto Zorzi. She has participated in several exhibitions and events in Italy and abroad. She teaches cuttlebone casting technique and contemporary jewelry literature at IED (European Design Institute) in Milan. She is a member of WJA—Women’s Jewelry Association (Italian chapter)—and of AGC, the Italian contemporary jewelry association.
