Peter Deckers

Peter Deckers, a Dutch-born New Zealander, is an educator, organizer, and jewelry maker. He trained at the Vakschool Schoonhoven (1979) and has an MFA from Auckland University (2003). Since 1989, Peter has been the jewelry coordinator of Whitireia NZ. One notable project he developed is the international mentor and exhibition program for NZ makers called Handshake (2011–2017).
