Esther Doornbusch

Esther Doornbusch is the founder and editor of the website hedendaagsesieraden.nl, which focuses on contemporary jewelry. She was trained as an art historian and works for the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. When Gerard and Marjan Unger donated around 500 jewelry items to the Rijksmuseum in 2009, Doornbusch was responsible for cataloguing them. She also took care of the registration of the second donation of just under 250 jewels in 2018. Doornbusch especially likes to wear rings—a piece of jewelry visible to the wearer (in contrast to, for example, earrings, brooches, and most necklaces).
