Susanne Knorr

Susanne Knorr was born in 1969 in Magdeburg, Germany. She completed training as a goldsmith and then studied art history, German literature, and philosophy at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Germany) and at Université Paul Valéry Montpellier and Université d’Aix-Marseille (France); she received her master’s degree in 2005. Prior to 2012, she worked as a freelance art historian, curator, and author; since 2012 she has been the curator at Kunstmuseen Erfurt. She also has been a lecturer in art history at Universität Erfurt since 2018. Her focus is on 20th century art, contemporary art, and jewelry design.
