Simon Marcus Swale

Simon Marcus Swale is an award-winning artist, designer, and educator. His interests in body adornment extend across fashion, jewelry, and the wider fields of art practice. He has written numerous pieces on fashion and the fashion system, and their relationship to both art and identity. Swale completed an MFA in contemporary jewelry at the Dunedin School of Art in 2020 and is a current participant of the Handshake mentorship program for emerging jewelers in Aotearoa New Zealand. Simon has participated in numerous exhibitions in Aotearoa, Australia, and Europe, and currently works as Senior Lecturer in the School of Design, Otago Polytechnic.
