Nigel Borell & Benjamin Lignel

Nigel Borell (born 1973) Pirirākau, Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui, Te Whakatōhea. Nigel Borell is currently associate curator Māori at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. He is a writer and curator of Māori art specializing in both customary and contemporary practice. Recent writing and editing include: editor of Kura; Story of A Māori Woman Artist (2011), coeditor of the publication SOUTH (2010–2013) and contributions to The 5th Auckland Triennial publication (2013). Most recently editor of Te Atinga—25 Years of Contemporary Māori Art (2014).
