Martacarmela Sotelo

Martacarmela Sotelo was born and currently lives in Mexico City, Mexico. She earned a degree in architecture from the Iberoamericana University, Mexico City, and an MFA from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, England. Sotelo is an established jewelry maker, and her work has been featured at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, the Marion Friedman Gallery, London, the Popular Art Museum, Buenos Aires, Museo Franz Mayer, Mexico City, among others. She has been honored with the Premio Quorum Mexico 2012, and in September 2012, she was appointed head of The Otro Diseño Foundation, Mexico Chapter.
