Kara Bargmann

Kara Bargmann is a contemporary jeweler and craft historian. She holds a BFA in jewelry design and metalsmithing from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and an MA in history of design from the Victoria and Albert Museum and Royal College of Art. Her research is centered on the interaction between contemporary craft pedagogy and the creative marketplace, specifically the history and establishment of post-secondary jewelry education in America and its evolution in the 21st-century art institution.
