GALERIA TEREZA SEABRA CLOSES
On October 31, 2026, the exhibition Jardin d’Agrément, featuring work by Catarina Silva, came to an end. It was the final show in Seabra’s gallery, which for 33 years organized exhibitions and promoted contemporary jewelry in Portugal. The donation of the Tereza Seabra Collection to Lisbon’s MUDE, and the publication of the accompanying catalog, celebrate the legacy of a lifetime’s work in a festive manner.

SEE NOON PASSAMA: GREY LOOPS NOVEMBER 14–22, 2026
The primary interest of the winner of AJF’s 2012 Emerging Artist Award lies in creating forms that exist somewhere between the classic and the unfamiliar—in transposing the archetypal structures of jewelry into entirely new contexts. She has chosen the chain—a quintessential, foundational element of jewelry—as the centerpiece of her work. Through a combination of creative interpretation and exceptional technical skill, she achieves a unique form of expression. At Gallery Deux Poissons, in Tokyo, Japan. More.

READ ROBERT BAINES: PLENITUDE
A master of his craft, this goldsmith makes work that transcends time and tradition. Empowered by his extensive research into archaeometallurgy, he connects the artistry and techniques of ancient Greek and Etruscan goldsmiths with modern-day innovation. His creations, infused with his wry humor and unparalleled technical brilliance, challenge our perceptions as much as they captivate the eye. Includes texts by AJF member Barbara Gifford, and Nicholas Bastin, Diane Soumilas, and Rüdiger Joppien. More.
DON’T MISS COEXISTÊNCIAS: JEWELLERY AND THE WORLD’S BEAUTY
How can we coexist in a fairer, more empathetic, and interconnected way? What does it mean to design the future based on alliances between cultures, species, and technologies? What role can the symbolic and sensitive thinking of jewelry play in this process of collective relearning? Proposed answers to these questions emerge to portray a world undergoing profound mutation. Co-curated by Marta Costa Reis, the chair of AJF’s board. At MUDE Design Museum through January 31, 2027. More.
ALSO AT MUDE—CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY: TEREZA SEABRA COLLECTION
This exhibition is not an anthology of Seabra’s creative work, but rather a mirror of her vision as a collector, author, teacher and gallerist—one of the most charismatic figures and inseparable from the consolidation of contemporary jewelry in Portugal. Includes 300+ works representing a visual map of her professional relationships. Through January 31, 2027. Info.
SEE MARION DELARUE: STONE, FEATHER, SCISSORS
Passionate about traditional Asian techniques and body adornments, the 2022 AJF Young Artist Award finalist creates ornaments using materials as varied as feathers, mother-of-pearl, porcelain, glass, and lacquer. Fascinated by tian-ts’ui, an ancient Chinese craft that incorporates delicate panels of kingfisher-feather marquetry into jewelry, Delarue spent three months immersing herself in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, to conceive new works. At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, through January 10, 2027. More.

The French Jewelry Post calls the exhibition stunning. In the article, find out about Delarue’s formative years, get the backstory on how this show came into existence, and see photos of the four “strange, sublime, and almost unsettling” oversized headdresses that form the centerpiece of the exhibition. More.

An intimate journey into the artistic universe of Gigi Mariani, from painting to contemporary art jewelry. More.
SHARIF BEY WINS 2026 SPECTOR CRAFT PRIZE
The artist and educator creates ceramic sculptures that explore the cultural and political significance of adornment, identity, and material history. Drawing from modernism, functional pottery, Oceanic art, and the art of the African diaspora, Bey reimagines traditional genres—jewelry, vessels, and ritual figures—by assembling handmade parts into emblematic, often large, forms. As part of the award, Crystal Bridges will acquire Bey’s Raptor Return. Learn more about the piece here.

SEE 10 YEARS OF ASTONISH THROUGH FEBRUARY 14, 2027
Founded by students at the Gemstone and Jewelry Campus in Idar-Oberstein, Astonish initially had a changing lineup. It has gained international recognition through numerous exhibitions both in Germany and abroad since 2016, and since 2017 as an all-female artists’ collective. Since 2019, the group has chosen a new theme each year, developing a series of works and an exhibition concept around it. In this way, it continually reinvents itself. At Villa Jakob Bengel, in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. More.
SEE EXHIBITION BY CHARLOTTE VANHOUBROECK AT DIVA MUSEUM
The exhibition Inspired by Queen Louise-Marie came out of Vanhoubroeck’s dissertation, for which she re-activated some of the Belgian queen’s sentimental jewelry. Almost none of the queen’s jewelry survives—only descriptions in an inventory. Vanhoubroeck made not copies, but contemporary creations that bring the emotional world of a forgotten woman back to life. Through April 11, 2027. Info.
SEE ON FRIDAY: VIVI TOULOUMIDI AT DEUTSCHES GOLDSCHMIEDEHAUS HANAU
The Greek maker explores jewelry as an expression of social and political issues: as a symbol of belonging, a means of exclusion, or a form of resistance. She examines the historical traces that can be stored in objects and questions the hierarchies between craft and artistic disciplines. In her jewelry, Touloumidi combines theoretical and historical research with practical work at her workbench, weaving together art, design, and craft with poetry, language, and activism. Through April 11, 2027. More.
SEE FROM THE SENSES: JEWELLERY BY THERESE HILBERT
The show’s title derives from Hilbert’s emotional and empathetic approach to her work, and her perspective on the environment and current events. It describes a body of work that not only emerges from the senses, but which is also full of sensuality and depth. Her works transform sensations into sensual images. They exude presence and bring forth her keen observations. A display-case exhibition in the foyer of the Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus Hanau, through January 17, 2027. Info.
SEE FACE TO FACE | NICOLA HEIDEMANN AND STEPHAN HAMPALA THROUGH NOVEMBER 21, 2026
Color serves as a common language for these two artists. Both pay close attention to surfaces, and there is at least a distant formal kinship between their works—yet their approaches are diametrically opposed: unpredictability versus calculation. What emerges? A juxtaposition, or a dialogue? At Galerie Slavik, in Vienna, Austria.
