An introspective exhibition pairing the sculptural metals and jewelry works of Natalie Lowe with the photorealist paintings of Bruce Evans. Together, their practices explore the tensions between interior and exterior, seen and unseen, intimacy and distance. Borrowing its title from the luminous glow of windows after dark, Night Windows contemplates the psychology of observation and the quiet narratives that unfold at the edges of private life. RECOVER IN MUNICH
Fifteen creators—among them AJF member Lori Talcott—manifest various aspects of metaphorical upholstery. Upholstering within a jewelry action ranges from protective shields to decorative, cushioned offerings. Going deeper, reupholstering peels back and releases tension. It honors layers and scars that reveal one’s history and tenderness. The work of the invited artists represents multiple interpretations of the theme. Works about digging and covering, exposing or breaking frameworks, and binding together. At Galerie art:ig. Info.

IRELAND LAUNCHES BASIC INCOME FOR ARTISTSThe nation will permanently pay 2,000 creative workers 325€ ($387) per week. A three-year pilot found that basic income payments reduced the risk of artists falling into poverty. According to a government-commissioned cost-benefit analysis, the trial program more than paid for itself by recouping more than its $86 million net cost. San Francisco and New York have also tried similar programs, but Ireland’s Culture Minister, Patrick O’Donovan, described his country’s program as first permanent one. More.
NEWS FROM ALL AROUND
OTTO KÜNZLI. O ON O
Künzli will lecture March 8, 2026, 11:00, at the Pinakothek der Moderne, in Munich. The artist describes the talk as “a highly abbreviated trip through my exploration of the topic of jewelry, a process that has lasted almost 60 years. It is an attempt to convey my thoughts, my deliberations, my doubts, my convictions, my process of searching, and of finding. And of questioning everything and starting out anew. And possibly most importantly of never losing my sense of humor along the way!” Museum website.

MAGIC MIRROR ON THE WALL
In fall 2025, Moniek Schrijer, Julia Boix-Vives, and Lars Joosten developed new work during DIVA’s residency program, resulting in this exhibition. Like a mirror, jewelry exists at the intersection of body and image, intimacy and public representation. In this show, it functions as a medium that does not affirm, but questions: what do we see, why do we attach value to what appears, and who decides what’s valuable? At DIVA February 27–April 19, 2026. More.

PAGES SPOTLIGHTING JEWELRY
TYPHAINE LE MONNIER: PLAYTIME
In Le Monnier’s atelier, hands move instinctively while the mind circles around unresolved questions—shaping forms from fragments, discarded jewels, and fleeting ideas. What appears repetitive gradually reveals a deep, evolving investigation into form and meaning. Le Monnier’s practice is fueled by the fraught tension between failure and discovery, doubt and intuition. Her work wavers between jewelry and sculpture, intimacy and collectivity, questioning the ways in which we inhabit the world and the role objects play within it. Play is no escape; it’s a method of survival, a way to sit with discomfort and keep creating despite uncertainty. Releasing in May 2026, from Arnoldsche. More.
