CHARLOTTE VANHOUBROECK INVESTIGATES THE LOST JEWELRY OF LOUISE-MARIE D’ORLÉANS
The first queen of Belgium’s jewelry pieces preserved memories. They thus once enclosed fragments of her intimate world. Based on (art) historical research and artistic reflection, Vanhoubroeck reactivated a selection of Louise’s sentimental jewelry from a contemporary point of view. Through word, image, and object, the jewelry artist and art historian constructed an alternative version of the almost forgotten queen. See more here, in Vanhoubroeck’s dissertation.
