Since the beginning of the pandemic, Art Jewelry Forum has expanded its efforts to connect more directly with the jewelry community by regularly hosting live chats online. These feature artist studio visits, talks with gallerists about shows they’re hosting, interviews with curators and authors, and other programming tied to various jewelry weeks from around the globe. We record these all and post them on our website.
Today’s speakers discuss the international collective exhibition Madrugada – Jewellery and the Politics of Hope, an exhibition that is part of the second Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the revolution that put an end to 48 years of dictatorship in Portugal. Explore jewelry and adornment as a political instrument of restructuring and activism.
