IT REVEALS A HIDDEN NARRATIVE. The necklace has a story, it’s not just what you see. The antique bronze sculpture covered by lace is the head of a Dogon ancestor, acquired on site in Mali. The Dogon people of Mali honor their ancestors as they are supposed to provide protection for the living. The veil over the face of the ancestor creates kind of a sacred and mysterious space.
