Khanya Mthethwa

Khanya Mthethwa is a multi-award-winning jewelry designer born in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, currently working as an academic at the University of Johannesburg. Her notable academic achievements include an MA in design, as well as certificates in rough diamond evaluation and diamond cutting. She has submitted her PhD in art history at the University of Johannesburg's Department of Visual Art. Beyond her academic and lecturing roles, Mthethwa is the founder and CEO of Changing Facets, a multidisciplinary company that merges contemporary art jewelry, indigenous African artistry, and design innovation. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Croatia, Italy, Germany, Greece, and Estonia.
