Autumn Brown

Autumn Brown is an artist and educator based in “downtown” Penland, NC, US. She holds her BFA in metalsmithing from the University of Georgia (2006) and her MFA in metal design from East Carolina University (2010). Her teaching experience spans over a decade and includes positions at Pitt Community College, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Western Michigan University's Frostic School of Art, and the University of Georgia's Cortona Program, in Italy. Currently, Brown facilitates learning experiences for others as the Iron Studio Coordinator at the Penland School of Craft. Her personal work is primarily metalsmithing. It has earned recognition for craftsmanship and conceptual depth, has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and is included in both public and private collections. Autumn is a proud member of the National Saw File & Solder Sprint Champions Club.
