In 2012, Ursula Ilse-Neuman gave a lecture at SOFA NY titled ‘The Transcendent Jewelry of Margaret De Patta: Vision In Motion’. In her lecture, Ilse-Neuman spoke about De Patta’s relationship with modernism and particularly the artistic movement of constructivism. The talk was based on the exhibition Space-Light-Structure: The Jewelry of Margaret De Patta at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, which Ilse-Neuman co-curated. The lecture was sponsored by AJF.
