AJF WEEKENDS

About AJF Weekends
AJF Weekends are a new way to gather with Art Jewelry Forum: shorter, more accessible programs that preserve the depth of exchange, access, and conversation that define AJF travel.

Our inaugural weekend in Montreal offers a chance to experience new work at the moment it enters the field—and to come together around it, sharing perspectives in ways that are difficult to replicate on our own.

Who Should Attend
This program is designed for AJF members, collectors, artists, and others interested in engaging more deeply with contemporary jewelry through direct access to artists, curators, and the work itself.

AJF WEEKEND: MONTREAL
June 12–14, 2026
A two-day program launching AJF Weekends

Art Jewelry Forum invites you to join us in Montreal for the first in a new series of shorter, focused travel programs designed to make it easier to come together in person.

AJF Weekend: Montreal brings together a small group for a concentrated, behind-the-scenes look at Montreal’s contemporary jewelry scene—through artist studios, exhibitions, collections, shared meals, and conversation.

The program centers on the opening of Dispatch from the Colonies, a new exhibition by South Africa–based artist Geraldine Fenn at Galerie Noel Guyomarc’h. Developed through the AJF Solo Exhibition Award, the exhibition represents the culmination of an extended period of research and making, extending Fenn’s use of materials such as silver, glass, and trade beads to explore colonial histories through layered, critically engaged work.

The weekend will begin Friday afternoon with a studio visit with Montreal-based artist Aurélie Guillaume, known for translating her illustrations into richly-layered enamel work—offering a rare opportunity to experience her process up close.
